What is Classroom Mode?
Classroom mode is a unique feature of MemberPress online courses. It gives you full control over the course design and lets you change its logo, colors, featured image, etc to match your brand identity or site design.
Change anything like brand color, accent color, menu text color, progress bar color, and many others using the sidebar controls. If you have basic CSS knowledge, a custom CSS section is also there to customize navigation and breadcrumb links.
Activating Classroom Mode in Online Courses
Follow these steps to enable classroom mode on MemberPress courses,
1. Install and activate MemberPress on your website. After activation, it will add a new menu (MemberPress) to the WordPress sidebar.
Expand it and choose ‘Add ons’ from the sub-menu. Install and activate MemberPress Courses Add-on.
Then, head to Courses to create your first online course. Enter a title and description for it. Set categories, tags, and a featured image from the right pane.
2. Add Curriculum
Switch to the Curriculum tab on the top to add course content.
Click ‘Add Section’ to create your first module. Create as many sections as you want. Click the arrow icon to expand each section and add lessons. Enter a title for sections and lessons to guide learners about the topic. Click the pencil icon, appears next to each lesson to edit and add content. Check course previews and if satisfied, save changes.
3. Configure access rules
Move to the Settings tab to list the course on your Sales page. Enter your course registration page URL on the Sales page field. Thus you can prevent unauthorized access to the page and redirect students to the signup form to enroll.
Go to MemberPress > Rules to set conditions to access your course. If you want to create a custom rule for the course, choose ‘A Single Course’ or for all courses, select ‘All Courses’ from the drop-down list. It also contains options such as ‘All Content With Course Tag’, ‘Courses with Course Categories’, etc to protect the content.
Set access conditions as next. Here, you can configure a basic membership level who can access the course. Suppose, you selected ‘Platinum’ membership in this field, so guests or other lower-profile members need to upgrade to at least Platinum level to learn.
4. Activate Classroom mode
Visit MemberPress > Settings and click the last tab, Courses to enable Classroom mode. It will apply a professional touch to your online courses. Drag the toggle button to the right to activate. Choose colors, add a logo, and custom CSS to customize your course pages. These are default settings. But you can change them anytime through the same page settings or WordPress customizer.
