Creating ActiveCampaign Forms in WordPress

Follow these steps to create converting newsletter signup forms in WordPress using WPForms and ActiveCampaign. 

1. Sign in to your WordPress website first. Install and activate WPForms on the site. It will create a new menu on the left pane of your dashboard. Open WPForms > Add-ons, and find ActiveCampaign from the list.

Click on install to install and activate the add-on. 

2. Go to WPForms > Add New to create a new form.

Enter a name for your form. Select the Newsletter Signup Form Template to customize. 

WPForms lets you add, re-order, and remove form fields easily. Drag and drop new fields from the left pane to add them to your form. Mouse over a field in the form window to re-order or remove it. Click on a field to change its label and settings.

Once you finished customization, save changes. 

3. Now you should connect the Form to your ActiveCampaign account. Head to the Marketing tab and choose ActiveCampaign from the list. 


Add your account name, API URL, and API key to connect. To collect those details, sign in to your ActiveCampaign account and choose ‘Settings’ from the left pane of your dashboard.

It will redirect to a new screen. Click on Developer to view your API details,

Copy both- API URL and API Key- and paste them to WPForms to connect. Event tracking is an optional field. We can learn more about it at a later moment.

Click on Add to connect your form to ActiveCampaign.

Once the connection is established, you will get more options to configure your ActiveCampaign form. It contains many options like selecting your ActiveCampaign account, choosing a subscriber list, etc.

When finished, don’t forget to save the form.
